Oak Tree Memorial Exhibit
City of Poway

Working with the City of Poway project team and Artefact Design we developed outdoor interpretive panels to provide visitors with historical and cultural information about the city's historic 200 year-old oak tree and a setting to display the last 8' long remnant of the iconic (symbol of the city) tree.

The project team concepted a 12' diameter stained concrete paving area in the actual shape of the oak with stamped oak leaf patterns. A raised curb with reinforced steel rods holds the oak remnant. Two powder coat steel panels with an oak tree laser cutout and interpretive panels complete the design.
